Senior Project Manager
Crystal is a powerhouse Project Manager with over 13 years of experience in management consulting and tech, combining strategic communication with tenacious problem-solving to deliver high-impact results and foster lasting client partnerships.

As part of the Microsoft WWL Credentials program, I led project management for the Credentials Landing Page, a new website experience designed to provide learners with a clearer, more focused way to understand Microsoft credentials and navigate their learning journey. I partnered closely with the product team to translate evolving product strategy into a cohesive digital experience supported by a large ecosystem of creative assets. The goal was not just to launch a landing page, but to create an integrated engagement model that connected storytelling, visuals, and messaging across multiple touchpoints while meeting aggressive timelines and coordinating a wide range of stakeholders.

Workback Schedule
The project included a complex mix of interdependent deliverables, all of which needed to align to a single narrative and launch window:

Each asset had its own requirements, review cycles, and dependencies, which significantly increased execution risk without strong structure and governance.

I managed the work using a waterfall-style workback schedule that sequenced discovery, content development, creative execution, reviews, and final delivery. Given the fixed launch date and the number of moving parts, this approach allowed for clear milestone ownership, predictable handoffs, and early risk identification.I treated the landing page and its supporting assets as a mini-program, ensuring every deliverable laddered back to the same learner experience and messaging strategy.

A core part of my role was acting as the central coordination hub. I worked across:
Internal v-team stakeholders
Product and program leadership
Design teams
Writers and editors
External partner agencies
I led structured kickoffs to align on objectives, audiences, inputs, and success criteria, and I pushed back when requirements or source materials were incomplete to prevent downstream risk. By setting expectations early, I reduced rework and kept momentum high throughout the project.

Each campaign and asset stream had its own scope, timeline, and dependencies, ranging from lightweight social assets to long-form storytelling and video. To manage volume and complexity, I built tailored workback schedules based on asset mix and duration, breaking work into clear phases with defined milestones.Communication was critical. I provided regular status updates, facilitated real-time review sessions, and flagged risks early so issues could be resolved before impacting delivery. This structure allowed teams to move quickly without sacrificing clarity or quality.

I owned delivery end-to-end, overseeing multiple review rounds, managing version control, and ensuring all assets met Microsoft branding, legal, accessibility, and compliance standards. I partnered closely with operations to support publishing and coordinated localization across 13 languages, ensuring consistency and accuracy at global scale.I was often the final checkpoint before assets went live, serving as the last line of defense to protect quality while still meeting tight deadlines.

The Credentials Landing Page launched as a cohesive, learner-focused experience supported by a full suite of aligned creative assets. By applying disciplined planning, proactive risk management, and consistent communication, I was able to manage competing priorities, keep stakeholders aligned, and deliver high-quality work on an accelerated timeline.

This project reinforced my core project management philosophy: align early, plan intentionally, communicate constantly, manage risk proactively, and deliver with quality. By treating each initiative as its own mini-program within a larger ecosystem, I was able to keep fast-paced, complex work feeling controlled rather than chaotic while enabling teams to do their best work.
